FUJI

Fuji apples are large (average size of a baseball) and have a dense crispness that make them a very popular choice.

This apple was developed by the Tohoku Research Station in Fujisaki, Japan in the late 1930s and hit the American market in the 1960s. The Fuji is a cross between a Red Delicious and the old Virginia Ralls Genet apple.
